The GH Bank Taekwondo Championship of Thailand 2023 got underway on March 31, 2023, to a great deal of excitement and anticipation from the participants. The Government Housing Bank continued their support of this annual event by sponsoring it for the eighteenth year in a row. The competition was held with the intention of unearthing fresh abilities and athletes who have the willpower and potential to one day compete for their country on the national squad. In addition, the purpose of the championship was to raise knowledge about the various Taekwondo forms and techniques as well as to promote the sport of Taekwondo.
The competition was held in the combat category, and the competitors were young Thai national athletes ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old. They came from a variety of clubs located all throughout the country to compete. The event was held in the indoor athletics building of the Eastern National Sports Center, which can be found in Soi Chaiyaphruek 2 of the Nong Prue Subdistrict of the Bang Lamung District of the Chonburi Province. More than 2,000 athletes submitted applications to take part in the competition, which was set to take place between March 31 and April 4 in 2023.
During the opening ceremony, the Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City, Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat, extended a warm greeting to all of the attendees and expressed his gratitude to Mr. Wisit Priyong, the director of the Eastern area, for his support. The event was given its official start by the Government Housing Bank, which added to the participants’ and audience’s excitement and anticipation of the day’s activities.
A performance by members of the Thai national taekwondo team in the Poomsae category was one of the highlights of the opening ceremony. These athletes displayed their strength and agility while also exhibiting their grace and synchronicity with one another. The spectators were left completely awestruck by the spectacular exhibition of skill and cooperation that the athletes delivered. The GH Bank Taekwondo Championship of Thailand 2023 is going to be an event that young athletes can look forward to because it is going to be an exciting and motivational celebration of the spirit of sportsmanship and dedication.
