In recent news, there have been reports of wild boars invading residential areas in Soi Arunothai, Moo 9, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province. The villagers have expressed concern over the wild boars digging through their garbage and causing trouble in the community. As a result, Pattaya City officials took action to control the situation.
However, amidst this chaos, a glimmer of hope has emerged in the form of a kind-hearted philanthropist, Ms. Pinrada Paruchanantakul. On April 11, 2023, Ms. Pinrada came forward and volunteered to take one of the wild boars into her care. She stated that she will provide a safe and nurturing environment for the animal, along with proper food and shelter.
Ms. Pinrada’s act of compassion has not gone unnoticed. According to Mr. Phairot Masaeng, the veterinarian of Bang Lamung District, city officials have reached out to the community and asked for their help in dealing with the wild boar situation. The officials were pleased to hear about Ms. Pinrada’s willingness to adopt one of the wild boars and praised her for her compassion.
The wild boar issue in Soi Arunothai is not an isolated incident. In fact, it highlights the growing problem of wildlife encroachment into human settlements. As humans continue to encroach upon natural habitats, wild animals are forced to venture into residential areas in search of food and shelter. This poses a threat not only to the animals themselves but also to the safety of humans.
It is heartening to see individuals like Ms. Pinrada step forward and take responsibility for the welfare of these animals. While it is important to control the wild boar population in residential areas, it is equally important to ensure that these animals are treated with compassion and care. Ms. Pinrada’s act of kindness serves as an inspiration to us all to treat all living beings with respect and empathy.
